All books are Mint-Near Mint. I can mail them insured USPS mail within a day or so. Shipping costs will depend on the number of books ourchased.

I am still basking in the glow of a glorious victory.
Not just for Barack Obama, or Democrats, or African Americans, but for all of America and the rest of the World.
Even the ignorant idiots who are up in arms today that a Black man is now our President Elect.
Yesterday the majority stood up and said yes to hope and no to cynicism. Yes to shaking up the status quo and no to business as usual.
Even a card carrying cynic like myself, who can blow holes through any positive situation, is hard pressed to feel cynical about anything today.
A country that has long hypocritically promoted equality and freedom while trotting out old monied white man after old monied white man, has finally put its money where it's mouth is and elected a man of multi-racial heritage raised by a single mother on food stamps.
A day many thought they would never live to see has come. A man of color is the President Elect of the United States of America. A country that not that long ago he would not have even been allowed to ride on the front of a bus in. Let alone run for the highest office in the land.
To those of us who are not living our dreams, and I include myself in that number, I ask the following question...
What's your excuse now?
Anything is possible. We proved that last night. |

Halloween is fast approaching, and I am throwing a kick ass party at my place this year, so my plans for the night are set.
I just have one small problem...
I have no idea what to be this year.
In the old days I would just slap on some white and black makeup and do The Crow, but that movie came out ages ago, and that has been done to death.
I made a hell of a Joker many years ago (and am sure I would again) but honestly EVERYONE will be doing that this year, so no. And I want to do something I haven't done before.
In no particular order, these are the costumes I have done in recent years.

So does anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

The Republicans are Hillary's biggest allies right now because they want NO PART of McCain vs. Obama. They know they will lose.
However, if Hillary gets the nod, McCain is your president. All the Republicans and Clinton haters will vote for him. Obama is the only candidate left who skews all the voter/party allegiances and will get enough votes to win.
The Republicans are out voting like mofos at the Democratic primaries. Believe it. Hillary is grasping at straws and even if she did somehow win would things REALLY change that much? Obama is the only one who will REALLY change things. America NEEDS him to win.
And no, I am not some mindless bandwagon jumper. He is inspiring, he is fresh, and he is DIFFERENT. And the fact that he is multi-ethnic would definitely help our image around the world. Hillary may as well be another old, privileged, moneyed white guy. Which I am sorry, but we do not need any more of that shit.
So unless you want 4 more years of the same ol' bullshit, get out there and vote. |
